Dr. Crockett has practiced medicine in Contra Costa County for the past 35 years. He completed his internship at Highland Hospital in Oakland, his residency in Family Practice Medicine in Martinez at the UC Davis Residency Program.
I welcome you whole heartedly to our medical practice! It has been my objective for the past four decades to provide the finest medical care for each of my patients. As I am a solo practitioner, I am personally aware of all my patient's needs and strive to be readily available at all times by phone or internet.
The pursuit of medicine was instilled in me at a young age, as I grew up under the care and tutelage of my wonderful doctor father. He has imparted in me a sense of honor and love for this profession; a profession that has granted me the privilege of watching children and families grow, welcoming new life into the world, and caring for those in need.
I can say without a doubt that my sense of purpose is now stronger than ever. Perhaps due to my ample experience; I have gained first-hand knowledge of a wide range of diagnoses, and now find it easier to recognize the true needs of my patients.
A patient under my care can expect to receive the following:
My definition of quality care is a doctor who listens carefully and responds with care and expertise. I aim to be just such a doctor. I have chosen to remain a private practitioner because I believe in the power of a personal relationship between a doctor and his/her patient. I take my patients and my practice very seriously—I love people and am passionate about practicing medicine. My patients are pleased that I deliver nearly all my practice babies—whether I am on call or not.
It is said that doctors often only know how to prescribe medicine and perform surgery. You will find that my philosophy is quite different. My intention is evaluate the whole patient rather than merely treat a patient’s symptoms. My commitment to your care has meant staying abreast of all the latest medical procedures and studies—from cutting edge advancements in traditional medicine to proven findings in holistic and alternative medicine. Over the years, I have found that there are multiple approaches to one problem, and am truly interested in counseling with you as we, together, discuss options to enhance and maintain your health.
Should the need arise, I have surgical privileges at John Muir Hospital, which has been named one of the top hospitals in America by US News and World Report. Additionally, John Muir is the only designated trauma center in Contra Costa County. The cadre of medical professionals assembled in this outstanding hospital amplify my ability to further assist you should your health needs necessitate referral to doctor with a different specialty.
I strongly believe that informed patients are better prepared to make decisions regarding their health and well being. At my practice, we are dedicated to helping you find answers to your questions and concerns. Our goal is to help you understand the all the options available to you in order to maximize your health.
The best care in the world doesn’t mean anything if you can’t access it. I strive to make my Concord office as efficient and convenient as possible. My practice is located just off Hwy 680 and 242 with offices directly across from John Muir Hospital in Concord.
